Inter Milan will meet with Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic next week. Although both parties are not close to agreeing a new contract.
Brozovic has a contract with Inter Milan until the end of the season, despite the club’s CEO Beppe Marotta. Full confidence that the players will agree to a new contract soon. But Italian media have reported that neither side is close to reaching an agreement.
FC Inter News and Tuttosport claim Inter will meet Brozovic’s representatives next week. To negotiate a new contract with the player’s father Ivan and the family’s lawyer in the meeting room.
Reports say Inter have offered Brozovic a new contract worth €5.5m a year, but the 28-year-old wants around €6.5-7m a year. Replaces the current contract with wages of only €3.5 million per year.
Brozovic now has the upper hand over Inter with interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. And ready to contact as soon as possible until January 1, according to the rules of the players who are about to expire on June 30 next year.
They have now fixed an appointment to hold talks for the new deal and they will try to capitalise on that, with emerging interest from Spurs, PSG and Barcelona. He is much more likelier to sign a new deal than Franck Kessie.
