AC Milan are negotiating a new contract with captain Alessio Romagnoli, eschewing agent Mino Raiola. Who is now still facing each other.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports. That Milan are negotiating a new contract with Romagnoli alone, without the player’s agent Raiola. It is still grieving from the case of Gianluigi Donna Rumma, whose contract expire during the past summer.
Raiola is seen as the one behind Donnarumma’s huge demands for wages beyond what Milan can offer. As well as pushing the Italy goalkeeper to a hefty transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. T-Germain this season Romagnoli’s contract expires at the end of the season. With AC Milan insisting the defender cannot afford the same €6m per year wages. by offering only 3.5 million euros per year while the players request at least 4.5 million euros per year. And willing to renew the contract with the Red Devils without problems.
The 26-year-old Romagnoli is a well-known Lazio fan and his arrival in Rome would likely be a strong cause for celebration for the Biancocelesti faithful, especially considering that Danilo Cataldi is currently the only Roman in the first team.
The Italian defender has made five Serie A appearances so far this season for the Rossoneri, including in the 2-0 win over the Biancocelesti.
